Frequently Asked Questions

1. What are these studies for?
I completed my Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology and currently run the Children and Technology (CAT) lab at Yeshiva University.  We are still seeking families to participate in online and in-person research projects.

2. What are these studies about?
Our research team is interested in how children perceive robots. Such studies include watching videos of robots and answering questions about what they saw, talking about robots, and playing a sorting game with the researcher.

3. What will happen in these research studies?
Parents will fill out some paperwork. Our lab is located in New York City, NY; parents who live nearby can  visit the lab in person, while others can join us virtually to participate in research via Zoom.

4. Are the studies safe?
Participating is safe, easy, and fun! We offer both online and in-person options to participate in research, depending on location and personal preference. In addition, the information provided by parents will be kept confidential and will not be shared with anyone outside the lab.

5. How long does it take to participate?
One research study takes about 20 minutes to complete.

6. Who is eligible to participate in these studies?
We are looking for parents who have a child/children who is/are between 0-6 years of age.

7. Anything else parents should know?
Participating is easy and safe. Our research team is willing to find a convenient time for you to participate. We currently offer appointments Mondays through Fridays and on select weekends! We protect your information. All data associated with the study is stored in a password-protected server.
